Recommendation - This book takes place in the Arctic wilderness. I would recommend this book for the people between the ages of 12-14 because it presents a wide range of survival events in Alaska that were both exciting and intense. A reason that this book was exciting was the things that Matthew and Kayak ran into in the wilderness. For example, when Matthew sees a helicopter coming to rescue them, Matthew says, "It's turning! The helicopter sees us! They're coming to get us!" Another example of the story being intense is when they both notice a bear is approaching. " Matthew and Kayak lay like dead men on the ice, both their heads turned so that they could watch the bear." In conclusion if you are interested in a friendship and a survival book, pick this one off the self.

Frozen Fire, by James Houston. is a five star book for action packed descriptions and humor. I think this book is good for 13 to 15 year olds because it has some bad words in it.

Frozen Fire is a survival fiction book with lots and lots of descriptions. It is about a boy named Matthew who moved to Greenland and meets an Eskimo friend who tells him what to do and what not to do in Greenland. One day, when Matthew came home from school, his dad and his friend's dad were gone! But, they didn't have to worry because Matthew and his friend got information that their fathers would be home after school.

Three weeks past and their dads still were not home. So the two of them go on an adventure to find them. Do you think Matthew and his friend will ever find their dads? Do you think they will be suspended or expelled from school?

This is a survival fiction book because Matthew and his friend have to survive the cold and other dangerous situations they get into as they search for their fathers. I like this book a whole lot because it reminds me of when I first went to Greenbrier East in second grade and my friend and I had an adventure through the playground. We were both new to the school and had to survive other people who either ignored us or bullied us. I also like the book because I love snow. There is a lot of snow in the book.

Frozen fire is a tale of courage about a boy named Matthew and his father go to the Artic circle to find a mineral. Then Matthew finds a boy named Kayak. But there's something goes wrong. Their father has been gone for a long time and hasn't return. So Kayak and Matthew set off an adventure to find their father. Something goes wrong and a snow storm start's and their lost,cold,and hungry. I reconmmend you read this book.

Great book. Some of the problems from the PE were almost the same. Totally worth the cash. The only thing I didn't care for was some of the answers didn't show the quickest way to solve them. There are a lot easier ways to solve most of the problems than shown in the solutions.

The problems are easier than other books, but they are set up well and the solutions are laid out nicely and easy to follow. I also like that they have some problems where the answer you get is not exactly what the answer choices are making you question yourself.

Good Book.

I recieved this book from the modelers club I belong to and at first I just put it on the shelf with the other books I have but I took it down the other night and started looking through it and was impressed. It actually is very informative book. I was surprisd by the history time line on the ship itself. There are tons of pictures including a few colored one so you get a pretty good idea of what the ship was like and the colors they used. There were a few B/W pictures that were fuzzy but the author expained them to my satisfaction anyway. I didn't plan on getting into any Azis Power type ships but when I actually started reading this book I found myself wanting to build this ship so I bought the model and will try it out. If you are interested in the WWII German Naval History outside the usual ships; ie; Bismark. You will find this very interesting and informative.

This awesome anthology really portrays the struggle of the working class throughout history and hits home on so many diverse levels. These authors did an excellent job on their selection of works! I hope to see future editions!

I majored in Art History and this is a great book for casual reading

I majored in Art History and this is a great book for casual reading. Each piece mention is only talked abut in 1-2 pages, so don't expect a real philosophical discussion on each work. WARNING, some of this stuff really IS shocking! There's a photo of a naked child in here and I'm really not thrilled to own a book with that in there. I wouldn't be showing this book off to new acquaintances, bosses/co-workers or easily upset parents haha.

I wish everyone would read this book!!

My husband and I have known Scott for close to fifteen years. He has always been intentional about the way that he approaches relationships by seeking to deepen, heal, and transform them into what they can and should be. I wish everyone would read this book. If more people approached relationships in the way that the book suggests, the world would have much more of a likeness to the world that we were created to live in, and would be less like the drama-saturated, anxiety-ridden, environment that many of us endure in our every day lives. The subject matter is thought provoking and engaging. For those looking to ensure that we live out a meaningful existence in alignment with the vision that God created for us, the read is absolutely imperative. The book changed my perception of the world, and my own perception of the narrative I write about myself.
