Kathryn Le Veque is one of my favorite authors. This book was no exception to the talent she has to writing a book about abuse, tragedy, and how a person can turn around their life when the right person comes along in their life. I just started reading this book and could not put it down until I finished it. I also love how the author always seems to intertwine other characters from other books into each story. But this book, I highly recommend reading it.

Another great book with wonderful characters. Although this story has a dark side to it, love and goodness rules in the end. Before you read this book get The Dark Lord, and read it first then you will understand the characters in Devils Dominion better. Kathryn Le Veque never disappoints me her books are great and full of History. This is another great read I would recommend her work to all who like page turners with a Happy ending..

A Dark But Excellent Story. A Must Read If You Like Kathryn LeVeque Which I Do.

So much better than I was expecting. I could hardly put it down. This book reminded me of the many really excellent books KLV has written way back many years ago. Some of her newer stories are just good stories but this one is EXCELLENT. It is dark. That is the way it was in those days. This was action packed, suspenseful, heartfelt, everything you could ask for in a really good book. If I could give it more stars I would.

This is a regional study looking at many aspects of Japan, including its physical setting, history, population, agriculture, politics, urban areas, economics, environment, and future challenges, all liberally laced with illustrative photos (B&W), maps, and diagrams. Before the publication of this book, the only comprehensive work on Japan was done by Glenn Trewartha, last published in 1965, a 1945 update. With the relevance of Japan in today's world, it's surprising that something hasn't been done sooner.

Each chapter has a valuable list of references at the end, with dates from Ellen Churchill Semple's time to modern journal articles published in 2002, which make an interesting work in itself.

99% of the photos were taken by the author, so this is more of a first hand account of what's there than a library study.

This is a good book to find out what's actually occurring in Japan and why.

About the Author

David Guttmann is Emeritus Professor and former Dean of the School of Social Work at the University of Haifa in Israel. An internationally known expert on logotherapy, and personal friend of the late Viktor E. Frankl - the famed founder of logotherapy - author Guttman received the Grand Award for lifetime achievement in logotherapy from the Viktor Frankl Foundation and the City of Vienna in 2003. In other roles that helped fuel the issues raised in this book, he served as Presidential appointee to the White House Conference on Aging, Founding Member of the Southern Gerontological Society of America, Academic Advisor to the Golda Meir International Training Center in Community Development, and Director at the Center for the Study of Aging at the National Catholic School of Social Service at Catholic University of America. He has authored, co-authored, or edited 12 earlier books.

Therefore, this book provides practitioners with a new and superior scientific framework for investment decision-making, while aiming to stimulate further research and development. Moreover, the book provides scientific approaches for portfolio selection with Goal Programming, which will provide added value for practitioners in complementing their financial expertise with a sound scientific decision-making framework.

About the Author
After working for her father s family office while also teaching at her alma mater, the University of Alexandria, after coming top of her class in Business Administration with a specialism in Finance, Dr. Rania Ahmed Azmi was noticed by organisations including the International Finance Corporation, which certified her to train small and medium-sized businesses on finance and investment, and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization. From here, she followed in the footsteps of Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair in the IV Leadership Programme, which took her all over the world. She received her PhD in Financial Mathematics and she was featured in the 40 under 40 asset owners in the aiCIO magazine in 2013. She was also a keynote speaker at the CERN laboratories pension risk and investment summit last year. When not advising on investment, Azmi is a keen activist for women s position in business, politics, and society, where she has spoken for the World Bank in gender and economics and soon after was awarded the Google Prize for Most Interesting and Creative Work and was designated a Woman of Influence globally by the Women Speakers Association.
