About the Author
Dr. Donald R. Murphy is a chiropractic physician and is Director of Primary Spine Care Services for Care New England Health System, a multi-hospital system serving Southern New England and based in Rhode Island. He is also Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He has been in practice for over 29 years, for most of that time as a primary spine practitioner.Dr. Murphy has been on the Expert Panels of several spine care guidelines and lectures all over the world on various topics related to spine disorders. He has published dozens of articles in numerous scientific journals as well as several books and book chapters.Volume I of this series, Clinical Reasoning in Spine Pain Vol. I: Primary Management of Low Back Disorders Using the CRISP Protocols is widely read all over the world and is utilized by several chiropractic institutions.Dr. Murphy is also the lead instructor for the Certification Course for Primary Spine Practitioners for the postgraduate certification course in Primary Spine Care given by the University of Pittsburgh.
